Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2019 Buick Envision- Video
Hi, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Blue Ox base plate kit here on a 2019 Buick Envision. So here's what our base plate kit looks like hooked up to our tow bar and attached to the motor home. We have the tri-lug design here of our tow bar that attaches to the single lug or rather the two-lug design of our removable arm, whichever way you wanna refer to it. And then on the inside here, we have our safety chain cable link. So it's nice and easy to access. more

When flat towing your vehicle, there's five main components you'll need to get your vehicle hooked up and safely towed behind your motor home. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point on your vehicle where you'll attach your tow bar, to get to your RV. You'll have your tow bar, which it will hook to our base plate and to the receiver on the motor home. You'll also have your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to the tow bar. more

There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your Envision behind your motor home. You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle, your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection, in addition to your tow bar. You'll need your diode wiring, which takes all the lighting signals from your motor home and transfer them to the lights at the back of your vehicles, so people behind you know your intentions when going down the road. And you'll also need your base plate, which is the connection point on your vehicle that you'll attach your tow bar and safety cables to. more

Hi, there Buick owners. Today in your 2020 Buick Envision, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's base plate. There's five main components you'll need when flat-towing your vehicle behind your motor home, you'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle, you'll need your base plate, which is the connection point on your vehicle for your tow bar to attach to, you'll need your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, your diode wiring, which takes all the lighting signals from your motor home and transfers them to the lights at the back of your vehicle, and lastly, your supplemental braking system, which will apply the brakes in the vehicle when you hit the brakes in your motor home to help it come to a safe stop.And this is what our base plate's going to look like when it's installed. The majority of our components are going to be hidden behind the fascia with just the attachment points sticking through. We've got our attachment points for the removable tabs where our base plate will hook up, our safety cable loops, we have our breakaway switch, which is attached to a mounting point on our base plate, we've got our wiring for our lighting system, and on the opposite side here, we have the safety cable and attachment point for our tow bar as well. Our base plate's custom fit for our Buick Envision, so it's going to bolt right up behind it.All the hardware you need to get it installed does come included. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2017 Buick Envision- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Buick Envision, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit with removable arms. Now, right off the bat, our base plate is going to be somewhat visible because we do have to cut openings and our grill for all of our components to come through. But the upside to that, and one thing I like about this base plate is that it's already going to have bracketry pre-attached to set up our breakaway switch as well as our six way wiring. And that's really convenient because everything's going to look a lot more symmetrical and you're not going to have to worry about customizing bracketry to get everything mounted. Now, the purpose of the base plate is to provide us with a solid connection point. more
